For example, in the United States Flyp's had a freemium pricing strategy, where the first number was given away for free, while there was a charge for each additional number. Domestically, selling point was the convenience of being able to access different types of messages in one place, and being able to choose local area codes.

Gestural Interface
Modica Way
Summary
An interactive installation that allows visitors to explore how graffiti changes over time as existing images are painted over by new artists.
Concept
My aim for this project was to create an interface that works as an intuitive metaphor - pushing forward moves the user forward in time by displaying more recent images.
Process
The artwork I used is from a graffiti mural in Central Square, Cambridge MA. The mural is frequently repainted, and by photographing the mural weekly I was able to capture the mural as it changed over time.

Sometimes the changes were gradual evolutions; at other times the mural changed suddenly when large sections were completely painted over.

I thought of the concept of this piece years before I could technically build the installation. Here are some of the sketches of my early concepts.
